wc

Count lines, words, or bytes.

Count lines in file:

wc -l {{file}}

Count words in file:

wc -w {{file}}

Count characters (bytes) in file:

wc -c {{file}}

Count characters in file (taking multi-byte character sets into account):

wc -m {{file}}
